Allan Bruce Bliss Mills

Fillmore --- Allan Bruce Bliss Mills of Rocky Mount, NC and a former resident of Fillmore, passed away on April 15, 2021 in his home. He was born on February 13, 1949 in Fillmore, a son of the late Clair and Beatrice Bliss and adopted son of Roger and Patricia Mills. He married Shirley Mode who predeceased him.

Al enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and continued his military career with the United States Navy where he retired with the rank of E7, specializing in communication security equipment.

Al enjoyed reading, cooking and tweaking recipes, model trains and restoring a 1985 Ford Model 2000 tractor which he actively displayed in antique tractor shows.

Surviving is a daughter, Melissa (Matthew) Yacuzzo and a young grandson, Patrick Yacuzzo of LeRoy, his siblings, Helen M. Allshouse of Hume, Loretta Blencowe of Georgetown, Canada, Charles (Ceceila) Mills of Honeoye Falls, Dr. Carolyn Schafner of Buffalo, Edward (Lynn) Mills of Fairfax Station, VA, a half-sister, Barbara Terres and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to hiswife, biological parents and adoptive parents, he was predeceased by a half-sister, Jeanette Bliss Hodnett and a half-brother, Roger Bliss.

A private graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Belfast.
