Calvin R. Ricketts

Fillmore --- Calvin R. Ricketts of 14 Prospect Street died Friday, March 31, 2017 at the age of 84, in Absolut Care of Houghton Nursing Home. He was born on November 27, 1932 in Fillmore, a son of the late Leslie Ricketts and Margaret C. Stout. He married Mary Doud in 1951 who survives.

Mr. Ricketts was a member of the St. Patrick's Church. He was a partner for 40 years with his brother Leslie (Babe) P. Ricketts of Ricketts Farm Supply, Inc. Calvin also served two consecutive terms as Director of the N. Y. Farm Equipment Dealer's Association, Inc. He also served on the Board for the Village of Fillmore.

Cal was an avid gardener and outdoorsman. He also loved to travel and do woodworking.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Barry (Karen) Ricketts of Hilton, Douglas (Eileen) Ricketts of Livonia, three daughters, Denise (John) Bean-White of California, Lori (Steven Barry) Williams of Rochester, Debra Ricketts of Arizona, 12 grandchildren, a sister, Carol (Robert) Schelin of Tappan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Howard Ricketts in 1979 and Leslie ‟Babe” Ricketts in 2012.

Family and friends may gather from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Fillmore. Fr. Dennis JJ Mancuso will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fillmore.
