Clayton L. Ackerman

Hume --- Clayton L. Ackerman of 7217 County Road 3 passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville. He was born on July 19, 1945 in Sugargrove, PA, a son of the late Norman and Irma Lindstrom Ackerman. On October 24, 1964 in Cuba he married Dianna Payne who survives.

Clayton was a former over the road truck driver and drove for several area businesses. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends talking about the good old times and playing cards.

Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, Lisa (Fred) Ackerman Crane of Bliss, Tracy Crane of Buffalo, his grandchildren, John M. (Bethany) Borer of Freedom, Amanda (Ian) Lynch of TN, Justin Kent of AR, Michael (Dawn) Williams of Holland, Cody (Nicole) Williams of Arcade, Steven (Alyssa Vandemortel) Williams of Freedom, Jordan (Steven Rybak) Williams of Buffalo, Dillon (Cheyenne) Crane of OH, Alexia (Rob) Crane of Arcade, 23 great-grandchildren, his siblings, Jerry Ackerman of McMinville, TN, Peggy (Paul) Herring of TN, Karen (Tom Eichberg) Bloom of East Aurora, Ted (Brenda) Ackerman of Farmersville Station, Todd (Darlene) Ackerman of Fillmore, a son-in-law John Gould of Fillmore and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Tim Alan Ackerman, a daughter, Sally Lynne Gould, three brothers, Phillip Ackerman, Lloyd Ackerman, Frederick Ackerman and a sister, Rosanne Ackerman.

Family and friends may gather from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore.
