Connie M. (Evans) Emerson

Fillmore --- Connie M. Emerson, a former resident of Fillmore, died Thursday, April 28, 2022 in her home in North Syracuse. She was born on March 5, 1944 in Centerville, a daughter of the late Harlan and Loretta Owens Evans Sr. On November 27, 1982 in the Fillmore United Methodist Church she married Warren Emerson who survives.

Connie was a graduate of Fillmore Central School, class of 1962 and later she worked as a secretary for Fillmore Central in the guidance office until her retirement in 2012.

She enjoyed gardening, painting, cooking, sewing, animals, especially cats and dogs but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Connie was very active with the former Fillmore United Methodist Church where she was involved in numerous groups and activities.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Kelly J. Emerson of North Syracuse, Timothy M. Schroeder and Michael H. Schroeder both of Matthews, NC, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Harlan “Demp” Evans and a sister, Linda Snyder.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, Freedom.
