Fillmore --- Craig Jonathan Beardsley of 123 W. Main Street and a former resident of East Bethany passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 in Olean General Hospital. He was born on September 13, 1959, in Cuba, a son of the late Clifford and Dorothy Schlicht Beardsley.
Craig attended Fillmore Central School where he would graduate with the class of 1978, afterward he began working at Kodak. They moved to East Bethany and with his family, restored an old house to make it his home where Craig and Denise raised their sons, Dustin and Cory.
He would go on to work for the Local 13 Pipefitter Union and ultimately retire from Pavilion Central School as a beloved bus driver. Throughout his life, Craig made many friends and was always viewed as a laid-back, easy-going guy. Craig loved spending time with his grandkids.
Surviving are his sons, Dustin (Kristen) Beardsley of East Bethany, Cory (Carolyn) Beardsley of LeRoy, seven grandchildren, Lilyana Beardsley, Kaleb Beardsley, Lorilye Beardsley, Mazalyne Beardsley, Juniper Beardsley, Arabella Morsch, Taryn Morsch, his siblings, David (Candy) Beardsley of Rochester, Christina (David) Evans of Bolivar, a special aunt, Sharon (Durwin) Durnion of Rochester, two nephews, Troy Beardsley of Rochester, Joshua Evans of Bolivar and a special niece, Michelle (Dana) Bucklin of Spencerport.
Family and friends may gather from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm. Joel Stroud, pastor of the Hume Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Wiscoy Cemetery, Wiscoy.
