Dale Gray Young

Groveland --- Dale Gray Young of 7191 Upper Bean Hill and a former resident of Hume passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in his home. He was born on November 14, 1937 in Shickshinny, PA, a son of the late Charles and Ruth Gray Young. On April 9, 1964 in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania he married Beverly Ann Dyke who predeceased him on December 21, 2021.

Dale was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1961 to 1963 and the former owner and operator of DG Young Contractors.

He loved mowing his lawn, riding around in his side-by-side or “buggy”, traveling to Arizona with Bev and his dogs.

Surviving is a daughter, Donna (Ken) Partridge of Groveland, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Irene (Bob) Mills of Buffalo, two brothers, Richard (Pat) Young of Buffalo, John Young of Florida, two beloved caretakers, Tiffiny LaPiana and Diane Wilson and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Dale Young Sr. and three brothers, Charles Young Jr., Snowden Young and Donald Young.

Family and friends may gather from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore. A graveside service with Military Honors accorded by the D. Victor Thomas Post 1155 of Fillmore will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Paul Shea, former assistant pastor as the Houghton Wesleyan Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Oramel Cemetery, Oramel.
