Deborah Wood Obituary

Warsaw --- Deborah Lynn Wood of Adams Road suddenly went home to be with The Lord on December 26, 2020 after an illness with Covid-19 in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born on April 28, 1957 in Warsaw, a daughter of the late Dick and Jeanette Bliss Hodnett. On July 17, 1999 she married Raymond Wood who survives.

Debbie was a graduate of Fillmore School and was a hardworking lady that would lend a hand whenever she could. She worked at Robeson in Castile, Prestolite in Arcade and for over 20 years at CPAC in Leicester. Her current job was at Perry School where she was loved by those whose lives she touched.

She loved to work with kids, antiques, yard sales, swap meets and the outdoors, but what she really loved most was spending time with family at “The Pond”.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, her children, Jamie Ruda of Perry and Jason (Tracey Smith) Stones of Portageville, her beloved grandchildren Devin Ruda and Maverick Stones, her brother Terry (Wendy) Hodnett of Portageville, sister Lori Gibney of Belfast, sister in laws Robin (Doug) Bull of Perry, Terry (Mark) Sweet of Portageville, Tammy (John) Scaccia of Perry, her brothers-in-law, Jeff (Michelle) Bowles of Castile, Bobby Holley of Wyoming, her mother-in-law, Mary (Bob Wellman) Bowles, her father-in-law, David (Shelley) Wood of Wyoming and many nieces and nephews that she loved so much.

Due to Covid-19, there will be no public viewing. A private service will be held at Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore and public memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in East Koy Cemetery, East Koy.
