Donald M. Hennard

Belfast --- Donald M. Hennard of 7921 Route 19 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 5, 2021 in his home. He was born on December 23, 1938 in Buffalo, a son of the late Lindzey and Mable Tidd Hennard. He married Linda Cole who survives.

Don was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1961 to 1963, a 45 year member of Local 621 Union in Olean and attended Hume Baptist Church.

He was an avid euchre player and enjoyed playing all types of different card games. Don was also an outdoorsman and always helped others when he could.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Lisa Wuersig of Belfast, Amy (Charles) Sackett of Bristol, TN, Seth Hennard of Tonawanda, Darcie (Justin) Burdick of Olean, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, his brothers, Lindzey “Ray” (Janet) Hennard of Bradford, PA, Eugene (Irene) Hennard of Caneadea, Daniel (Shirley) Hennard of Short Tract, his sisters, Carol Carmer of Short Tract, June Pope of Attica and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, August 16, 2021 in the Hume Baptist Church, 10851 Claybed Rd, Hume where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Pastor Joel Stroud will officiate. Burial will be in Short Tract Cemetery, Short Tract.
