Fillmore --- Donna R. Bower of 132 W. Main Street died Sunday, November 14, 2021 in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born on October 14, 1936 in Munday, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Bernard and Mildred Wyer Bower.
Donna was a graduate of Wellsville Central School. After high school she attended St. James School of Nursing and later received her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Buffalo. She then worked in public health in New York City and Cleveland, Ohio. Afterward she went to work for the Veteran’s Administration in Long Beach, California.
Donna later became an instructor at Craig Developmental Center School of Nursing and finished her career as instructor at Alfred State College.
She loved horses and studying her family’s genealogy.
Surviving is a sister in law, Martha Bower of Fillmore, six nephews, four nieces and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings, Bernard Leon (Stella Gowdy) Bower, Edwin L. Bower and Robert L. (Vonda Sylor) Bower.
As per Donna’s wish there will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in Wolverton Cemetery, Munday, West Virginia.
