Cuba --- Gail A. Hewitt of 3 Bristol Street and a former resident of Centerville passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 in her home. She was born on December 1, 1972 in Lackawanna, a daughter of John Grice and Pamela Mauerman.

Gail was an avid reader, loved collecting all types of lighthouses and enjoyed going to the beach.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her step father, Donald J. Learn of Centerville, her daughter, Sophia Hewitt of Lancaster, PA, a brother, Eric (Natalie) Grice of Andover, three nieces, Morgan (Matt Gardner) Grice, Abigail Grice, Ava Grice, a nephew, Carter Grice, a great-niece, Olivia, her step siblings, Brianna (Darrell) Stone of Silver Springs, Donald (Shannda) Learn and Edward Learn both of Shinglehouse, PA, a good friend, Melinda Smith of Avoca, three aunts, Linda Noon, Rebecca Relyea, Wendy Curry and many special cousins including Kayla (Zacheria) Clark of Fillmore and Cole Kish of Centerville.

She was predeceased by her father, John Grice, her maternal grandparents, Frank and Dorothy Mauerman and an aunt, Darlene Schweickert.

A private service is being planned.
