Fillmore --- Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Bailey of 11413 Hodnett Road went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born on October 24, 1938 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Glen and Fannie Culhane McKay. On July 16, 1960 in St. Mary’s Church in Geneseo she married William Bailey who survives.
Jackie was a former bus driver for Fillmore Central School for 32 years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Fillmore and was involved with the cemetery committee and the luncheon committee. She also was the former director for the Red Cross in Allegany County, a member of the Home Bureau and involved with the 4-H Club.
Jackie enjoyed sewing, playing cards, baking, quilting and bowling.
Surviving in addition to her husband are their children, Scott (Sherri) Bailey of Fillmore, Bryan (JoAnn) Bailey of Machias, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a son-in-law, Tyler Hill of Angola.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter Julia Hill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Fillmore. Fr. John Cullen will be celebrant. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery, Geneseo.
