Centerville --- James W. Hatch of 8399 Ballard Road passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in his home. He was born on March 23, 1960 in Warsaw, a son of the late Merle R. and Virginia Lennox Hatch.
James was a former employee for Champion and Young Waterproofing and late worked for his father as a mason. He was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan, enjoyed listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash. James also loved playing the guitar and played for several area bands.
Surviving in addition to his mother is a son, Kevin Kemp of Wellsville, two grandchildren, Lilly and Atreyu, his siblings, John (Jennifer) Hatch of Castile, Dennis (Cheryl) Hatch of Silver Springs, Daryl Hatch of Centerville, Merle (Amanda) Hatch Jr. of White Lake, WI and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by a sister, Kimberly Hatch and a brother, Tedd Hatch.
Family and friends may gather from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, Ocotber 18, 2023 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Bates Cemetery, Centerville. Rev. Bruce Smith, pastor of the Higgins Wesleyan Church, will officiate.
