Rushford --- Judith M. Morris of Luckey, OH and a former resident of Rushford passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH. She was born on May 11, 1939 in Fillmore, a daughter of the late Merton and Alta Benson Armison. On December 24, 1969 in Hume she married Thomas E. Morris who survives.
Judith worked for the Ohio Turnpike for 25 years as a toll collector. She was a member of the Independent Freewill Baptist Church in Pemberville, OH, celebrated as the first women voted to the town council in Rushford and was a former member of the Rushford Baptist Church. Everyone knew Judith for her baked goods, love of cooking and her famous peach pie.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 47 years are their children, Cindy (John) Nichols of Farmersville, Doug (Robin) Potter of Fillmore, Jacki (Tom) Rich of Lorain, OH, Teresa Morris of Elmore, OH, Kathi Morris of Knoxville, TN, Lori Marchese of Olmsted Falls, OH, 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy Konz of Richmond, VA, two brothers, Max (Jan) Armison of Fillmore, Clair (Connie) Armison of Rushford and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Rushford Baptist Church where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Art McElheny will officiate. Burial will be in Hardy's Corners Cemetery, Rushford.
