Fillmore --- Lois Irene Fancher of 93 W. Main Street died on Sunday, July 4, 2021 in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born on July 3, 1928 in Fillmore, a daughter of the late Robert and Mabel Maxson Gillette. On August 27, 1949 in Cuba she married Lowell B. Fancher who predeceased her on May 10, 2018.
Lois lived her entire life in the Fillmore area and was a longtime member of the Hume United Methodist Church, and was loved by all who knew her.
Surviving are her sons, L. Bernard (Angela) Fancher Jr., Jeffrey E. Fancher, David M. Fancher, Paul C. (Antoinette) Fancher; two grandchildren, Keli (Jorlanda) and Gabrielle, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Anita Carter, Wilma Ferris, Althea Bentley and her brothers Donald, Robert, Russell and Ronald “Ike” Gillette.
Family and friends may gather from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Rev. James Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore.
