Master Sergeant Andrew Wayne Hale, USAF, First Sergeant Retired
Friendship --- Andrew Wayne Hale of 3122 Zimmer Road went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 31, 2022 in his home. He was born on December 27, 1959 in Cuba, a son of Wayne and Gail Bundy Hale. On November 27, 1982 he married Carolyn Brown who survives.
Andy was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force serving from November 24, 1981 to November 30, 2001. During his service he obtained the rank for Master Sergeant and received his Associate’s Degree from the Community College of the Air Force.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, cutting wood, riding his motorcycle, traveling, camping and collecting and shooting firearms. Andy also enjoyed gardening and ran the local farmer’s market when he and Carolyn were living in Tennessee.
Andy was a lifetime member of the VFW Post # 2721 in Cuba, a member of the Erin Church of the Nazarene in Erin, TN and attended the North Park Wesleyan Church in Cuba.
Surviving in addition to his wife are their four daughters, Nicole (Andrew) DeMersman of Henrietta, Elise (Lorin) Hinson of Erin, TN, Aubrey (Matthew) Tranter of Brighton, MI, Lauren (Jake) Anderson of Richmond, VA, six grandchildren, Isabella Hinson, Adelyn Hinson, Blake Andrew Tranter, Charlotte Tranter, Andrew Jacob Anderson, Chloe Anderson, his father, Wayne Hale, his siblings, Valerie (David) Thornhill of Ballston Spa, Rhonda (Steve) Rennie of Fillmore, Mike (Nigar) Hale Ithaca and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Gail P. Hale.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore. A military graveside will be held in Bath National Cemetery on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Military Honors accorded by the United States Air Force. Daniel Medders, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Erin, TN, will officiate.
