Tamara "Tammy" Leisten Obituary

Fillmore --- Tamara “Tammy” Kay Leisten of Fillmore and a former resident of Rochester passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 11, 1962 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Charlie and Dorothy “Dot” DeLorme.

Tammy was born and raised in Rochester. She had her first son Bob Mastowski in June of 1981 followed by Joe in May of 1984 and her baby boy Jason in June of 1986.

In 1999 Tammy met her soulmate, Mike, and after a whirlwind of dating for three months they were married in December of 1999. Many years followed filled with grandbabies, family dinners, a billion laughs, cookouts and of course she sprinkled in some crazy antics. Her favorite space was one filled with her hubby Mike, her children and grandchildren.

Tammy was an artist who could paint the coolest, most intricate wall murals. She loved to shop and cook, and made the best apple pie in the world. Tammy was usually the loudest person in the room, her spirit was untamed, her energy frenetic and she did everything with unbridled passion. Even though she was knocked down too many times in her life, she always rose up. She gave great advice and was always down for coffee and a chat. She was easy to fall in love with and loved being surrounded by the people she loved.

In Tammy’s last months she received services from Allegany County Homecare and Hospice and the family would like to give a huge thank you for all the support they gave Tammy. A special shout out to Tammy’s hospice nurse Carrie, you were amazing and we all appreciate the love you had for Tammy.

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend touched so many people in her 60 years of life. To those who are closest to her; she leaves not only a void in our heart, but also the loss of our Queen, Bear, chaos and the heart of our family. You are now pain free and have joined many loved ones on the other side. May you rest in peace, you will always be with us and never forgotten.

Surviving in addition to Michael, the love of her life and husband of 22 years is her first born son, Robert “Bobby” "Bob” Mastowski and his wife, Jamie, her only step-son, Kevin (Emily) Leisten. Tammy’s favorite title in life was grandma and the love her grandchildren have for her is everlasting proof; Landon Mastowski, Journee Mastowski, Jayden Gibaud-Mastowski, Dakota Gibaud-Mastowski, Aeris Mastowski, Lilly Macomber, Joseph Mastowski and Isabella “Bella” Mastowski, her baby sister, Tracy (Mark) Damato, sister, Judy Wireman, big brother, Jerry Delorme and sister-in-law, Darlene App, God-daughter, Tabitha Campbell, God-son, Andrew “Andy” Hampton, beloved best friend, Cheryl Cicoria and bonus daughter-in-laws, Jennifer Eckerd, Kelly VanBortle. Tammy also had many friends, nieces, nephews, family and brothers who she loved deeply throughout her life.

In addition to her parents she is now reunited with her brother Darry Smith, two cherished sons, Jason and Joseph “Joe” Mastowski and a favorite aunt, Viola Goff.

A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
