Centerville --- Wesley Inman Irish, 82, passed away peacefully at his home with loved ones by his side on January 27, 2021 He was born April 4, 1938 in Centerville, a son of the late Nelson and Hazel Inman Irish.
Wesley was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 17 for over 40 years and worked for Genesee Valley Nursery as a heavy equipment operator. Upon retirement he enjoyed wintering in Florida, time with family, and tinkering with many projects.
Surviving are his daughters Deborah (Bob) Kozura, Terry (Tom) Pray, and Karen Palis; three grandchildren, Christina(Kevin)Turner, Shauna Irish and Thomas Pray; two great-grandchildren, Savanna and Jakai, as well as his partner Marlene Uptegrove; three siblings, Wanda Hooper, John Irish, and Linda Lavery.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Wesley R. Irish, a sister, Mary Doss, and a brother, Bill Irish.
A funeral service will be held on May 1, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore. A graveside service will follow at Bates Cemetery, Centerville. Join us in wearing a touch of plaid to honor the man who always wore it.
