William F. Mura

Beloved Prankster

Caneadea --- William F. Mura of 6163 Shongo Valley Road passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 in his home with his beloved wife by his side. He was born on February 15, 1934 in Rochester, a son of the late Raymond and Evelyn Razzy Mura. On March 2, 1957 in Greece, NY he married Janett Bernstine who survives.

William was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1954 to 1956. He was a former bus driver for Belfast Central School, a member and past chief of the Caneadea Fire Department, former Fire Commissioner for the Town of Caneadea and a former board member of the Tax Review Board in Caneadea.

He enjoyed joking and pulling pranks but most of all he loved spending time with his wife, friends and family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, William F. Mura Jr. and his brothers and sister.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
